Thomas Blevins, MD is an endocrinologist at Texas Diabetes & Endocrinology in Austin, TX. He leads a staff of endocrinologists, physician assistants, clinical nurse specialists, and Certified Diabetes Educators. He attended medical school and completed his internal medicine and endocrinology training at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and is boarded in Internal Medicine, Endocrinology and Metabolism and Lipidology.
He has been in Austin since 1986 and in 2001, he founded Texas Diabetes and Endocrinology, a practice devoted to bringing the latest in diabetes advances, thyroid care and osteoporosis diagnostics and treatment to Austin and Central Texas. He is active in clinical research concerning endocrine diseases and is a speaker and educator for a number of topics in the areas of diabetes, osteoporosis, lipid management, and thyroid disease. He is a fellow of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology and a fellow of the National Lipid Association. He is Endocrinology Certified in Neck Ultrasound (ECNU) and is International Society of Clinical Densitometry (ISCD) certified.
