In her roles as professor of medicine and director of the Clinical Hypertension Program at The University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Cohen draws on her years of experience as a nephrologist and clinical researcher. Her interest in complex and adrenal hypertension informs her role as director of the Neuroendocrine Tumor Program, which focuses on the treatment and management of pheochromocytomas. She also has a research interest in alternative methods of treating hypertension, having been awarded a National Institutes of Health (NIH) grant studying the effects of yoga on hypertension. She is also an investigator in the NIH-funded SPRINT study and principal investigator for a novel study of catheter-based renal denervation for resistant hypertension.
