About

Alison B. Evert, RDN, CDCES, has worked with people with diabetes and those at risk of diabetes for over 35 years.

Currently, Evert is the manager of the Nutrition and Diabetes Education Programs at the University of Washington Medicine Primary Care and manages a team of registered dietitians and diabetes educators in 14 primary care clinics at the University of Washington School of Medicine.

The team provides evidence-based nutrition and diabetes education for patients referred by medical providers. She previously worked at the University of Washington Medicineโ€™s Diabetes Institute as part of their multidisciplinary team.

Evert co-chaired the American Diabetes Association Nutrition Therapy Recommendations for Adults with Diabetes and Pre-diabetes Consensus Report. She often writes and presents about the role of nutrition in diabetes care.
