Dr. Daichi Shimbo is a noninvasive clinical cardiologist committed to creating and disseminating evidence-based, patient-oriented research on hypertension and its different phenotypes to predict cardiovascular disease onset. His work has led to improvements in diagnosing and treating hypertension subtypes associated with the highest cardiovascular disease and mortality risk. Dr. Shimbo is professor of medicine at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center, where he directs the Columbia Hypertension Center.
