Boca Raton, Florida, May 08, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) โ The Cardiometabolic Health Congress concluded its 3rd Annual CMHC West: Advancing Cardiometabolic Health from East to West on Sunday, May 5th in Phoenix, Arizona. Led by world-renowned clinical experts and thought leaders, hundreds of participants gathered at the conference to gain further knowledge in cardiometabolic health. Through an array of educational formats including interactive Q&A lectures, didactic sessions, panel discussions, and exhibitors, the conference spotlighted the most recent results from various clinical trials and updated health guidelines.
Keynote speaker, Spero Manson, PhD–a Distinguished Professor of Public Health & Psychiatry at the Colorado School of Public Health–presented on โHealth and Diabetes in the Native American Population.โ The presentation, along with various other sessions and conference features, provided attendees with an in-depth overview of the intimate relationship between culture and cardiometabolic health, specifically within the Native American population.
The event utilized advanced technology and delivery methods to encourage attendees to further understand and retain complex clinical information. In accordance with the use of case-based learning, infographics, and the integration of the Educational Measure Array technology, all attendees were provided with iPads to engage with throughout the educational sessions–allowing for an enhanced educational experience.
Taking place in Arizonaโs premier Native-American owned luxury Phoenix resort at Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass, the culturally sustainable venue provided attendees with a scenic view of the Gila River Indian Community. Through detailed and graceful architecture, art, and expansive natural lands, the venue allowed for an authentic and peaceful experience.
