Nicole A. Ciffone, MS, ANP-C, AACC, FNLA, is a board-certified adult nurse practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and a certified clinical lipid specialist. After becoming a lipid specialist in 2012, she developed the Lipid Clinic at Pima Heart, one of the largest cardiovascular practices in southwest Arizona. In 2015, she opened the Arizona Center for Advanced Lipidology (aka Arizona Lipid Center), where she works as a lipid specialist. She has more than 20 years of experience in cardiology, working in the office, skilled nursing facilities, and hospital settings.
Ms. Ciffone is an active member of professional organizations, including the American Society for Preventive Cardiology and the National Lipid Association, where she serves on multiple committees, including the conference planning committee. She has been a board member and is a past president of the Southwest Lipid Association. Ms. Ciffone has authored multiple articles published in peer- reviewed journals. She is proud to have been given the honor of Fellow of the National Lipid Association and to be among the first to be inducted as an Associate of the American College of Cardiology. She has also been involved in clinical research as a principal investigator and study coordinator. Ms. Ciffone has been selected as a community partner for the University of Arizona College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, where she collaborates with members of the School of Nutritional Science & Wellness Food, Bioactives, and Health Lab. As a lipid specialist, she serves as a consultant and a speaker for other providers, organizations, and continuing medical education events.
Because of her interest in longevity and cardiovascular health, Ms. Ciffone enjoys balancing work with an active lifestyle that includes hiking, dancing, weight training, personal nutrition, and mindfulness. She loves connecting with colleagues, family, friends, and animals
