Dr. Ajay K. Singh is the senior associate dean for Postgraduate Medical Education at Harvard Medical School and directs the Master in Medical Sciences in Clinical Investigation Program. He leads a vibrant group of faculty and staff in developing and overseeing postgraduate medical education at Harvard, as well as the Master’s in Clinical Investigation. He has been executive director for the Dubai Harvard Foundation of Medical Research since 2008.
Dr. Singhโs interests are in clinical research, with a particular focus on the anemia of chronic kidney disease. He has led groundbreaking studies in anemia of kidney disease, including the CHOIR study, which was published in the New England Journal of Medicine, and well as being a member of the steering committees for the TREAT and DRIVE studies. More recently, he has taken on the role of leading the ASCEND Clinical development program – a phase 3 program for the development of a novel propyl hydroxylase inhibitor Daprodustat. The trial is aiming to recruit 7,500 patients worldwide.
