Boston, July 22, 2016โโThe Cardiometabolic Health Congress has announced 5 Keynote presentations have been scheduled for the 11th Annual CMHC, taking place October 5-8, 2016, at the Sheraton in Boston, MA. The 3 ยฝ-day event has become the largest US-based, multidisciplinary conference focused solely on the prevention, diagnosis, and management of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases.
The increased number of Keynotes for this yearโs Annual Meeting will address the growing areas of cardiometabolic disease management and are as follows:

- Steven E. Nissen, MD, MACC, a pioneer in the field of IVUS, will discuss its role as a screening tool and in determining new approaches to treatment.

- A landmark researcher in inflammation and atherosclerosis, Peter Libby, MD will focus on the increasing prevalence of non-LDL-cholesterol-related cardiovascular risk factors, specifically, triglycerides and apoC3.

- Suzanne Oparil, MD, a principal investigator of SPRINT, will discuss the benefits and caveats of SPRINT as well as some of its ongoing substudies.

- Subodh Verma, MD, PhD, an internationally renowned cardiac surgeon and scientist, will evaluate the epidemiology and clinical course of visceral fat as it relates to cardiovascular event rates and explain the mechanistic basis of how visceral adiposity leads to cardiovascular disease.
